By 2011, 100 spirulina microfarmers stretched from Southern France to Normandy. Good time to visit some of these microfarms. Ripley and Denise Fox hosted Robert Henrikson and set up a tour.

In the South of France, visited Emmanuel Gorodetsy at Spiru-Vie farm in Ganges and Boris Atlan at Ferme de la Borie in Lasalle. In Laroque, Ripley and Denise Fox hosted spirulina microfarmers and members of the Fédération des Spiruliniers to discuss progress, challenges, prospects and their association. With a banquet including fresh spirulina aquamole and fruit spreads.

In Normandy visited Ecodomaine de Bouquetot, an integrated experimental farm with a biogas plant. (www.hyes.eu). Laurent Lecesve, Gilles Planchon and team were joined by John Paul Jourdan, author of Cultivez Votre Spiruline, a growing manual that catalyzed microfarmers in France. Jean Paul spoke about the future of spirulina microfarms.
