SpirulinaSource.com was founded in 1999 by Robert Henrikson. It was designed as an online resource center for spirulina micro algae. Robert has visited algae farms and companies all over the world. The website hosted a curated database of scientific studies on the health and medical benefits of consuming spirulina and added videos, books, slideshows and publications.

Books: Earth Food Spirulina (1989) translated into 8 international editions. Spirulina World Food (2021) Imagine Our Algae Future (2012) based on the International Algae Competition. Algae Microfarms (2013). Robert Henrikson has produced 40 educational videoss on spirulina over 20 years. “Spirulina Voices” are video conversations with the producers, pioneers and personalities on current trends and the future of spirulina.

Spirulina Source team has built a structured global database of spirulina producers and their products around the world, now over 600 companies.
